Terms and Conditions

Hope Cottage self catering , Durisdeer, Thornhill, Dumfries and Galloway.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Hope Cottage (the cottage) shall be available to the Hirer from 3pm on arrival day until 10am on departure day. Start days are Saturdays.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT

A deposit of £50 per week is payable at the time of booking. The final balance must be paid six weeks before the start of the holiday. For holidays booked less than six weeks in advance of the start date, the full price is payable at the time of booking. For avoidance of doubt, it would help both parties if availability could be checked by telephone.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING

On receipt of deposit, confirmation of booking will be issued and the Hirer will be responsible for the price of the holiday as shown on the confirmation.

CANCELLATION

Cancellation up to six weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday means loss of deposit. Cancellation within six weeks of commencement of the holiday means the Hirer will be liable for the total cost of the holiday unless the owners are able to re-let the cottage for the cancelled period.

PARTY SIZE

Unless prior consent to the contrary is given, the number of people occupying the cottage will not exceed the number stated in the particulars.

PETS

Hope Cottage is a dog friendly self catering holiday cottage and we welcome pets by prior arrangement only. Please contact us to discuss your requirements prior to booking.

HIRER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

The hirer will be responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. The property including equipment and utensils must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the holiday period. All damage and breakage will be the liability of the hirer.
